This site is devoted to my own learning experiences. All too often, learning is only associated with specified learning events - like trainings, professional development, coursework, certificates, college degrees, online courses, and so on. Learning cannot be thought of as a single event; instead, learning should be thought of as an inherent part of life, which isn't relegated to a specific period of time or place. And so, this site is for my own reflective and creative learning projects.
Create to Learn.
“We have to go from what is essentially an industrial model of education, a manufacturing model, which is based on linearity and conformity and batching people. We have to move to a model that is based more on principles of agriculture. We have to recognize that human flourishing is not a mechanical process; it's an organic process. And you cannot predict the outcome of human development. All you can do, like a farmer, is create the conditions under which they will begin to flourish.”Sir Ken Robinson
Break the Cycle
Linearity and conformity is part of education but not always part of learning. With that said, I want to create my own learning experience. This blog will house my informal learning work toward creating my own learning. Destroy preconceived notions of what learning should be and create your own learning experiences. What will you create and what will you learn?
It's better to create than learn. Creating is the essence of life.Julius Caesar
